Sources at FOX31 have reported that 62-year-old, Manuel Gonzales, was struck down Friday night while crossing the intersection of Cherry Street and Sherwood Street in Fort Collins. He was rushed to Medical Center of the Rockies for treatment of serious injuries sustained from the accident. His condition is presently unknown. Carol Campau was driving the 1997 sedan. She and her passengers were unharmed. Fort Collins police officer Drew Jurkofshy stated that, “Police do not believe speed contributed to the collision and are investigating whether the driver stopped for the stop sign at Sherwood Street or was impaired by drugs or alcohol.” Jurkofshy also reported that, “The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.”
